Volunteer Writing Staff

Torch & Tinder Press is an independent publisher dedicated to freedom, truth, and cultural resistance.

We are looking for Volunteer Staff Writers to contribute essays, reflections, and long-form pieces for our Substack lanes and Core Collections. Writers may take on assignments or pitch their own ideas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Write essays, commentary, or cultural reflections.

  • Develop original pitches aligned with our ethos.

  • Collaborate with editors and researchers to strengthen pieces.

  • Meet agreed-upon deadlines for publication.


Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong writing skills and a clear voice.

  • Understands (or is open to learning) Chicago-style citation.

  • Is comfortable receiving and applying editorial feedback.

  • Shares our commitment to truth, memory, and cultural resistance.
