Volunteer Writing Staff
Torch & Tinder Press is an independent publisher dedicated to freedom, truth, and cultural resistance.
We are looking for Volunteer Staff Writers to contribute essays, reflections, and long-form pieces for our Substack lanes and Core Collections. Writers may take on assignments or pitch their own ideas.
Key Responsibilities
Write essays, commentary, or cultural reflections.
Develop original pitches aligned with our ethos.
Collaborate with editors and researchers to strengthen pieces.
Meet agreed-upon deadlines for publication.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:
Has strong writing skills and a clear voice.
Understands (or is open to learning) Chicago-style citation.
Is comfortable receiving and applying editorial feedback.
Shares our commitment to truth, memory, and cultural resistance.
